The SD 450 Demining Apron
The SD450 Apron is similar to the traditional, close-fitting styles of armour. However it is designed to allow maximum ventilation of the back and upper side area for additional wearer comfort.
The Apron is available with a V50 of 450m/s. The armour is supple and pliant to minimise interference with movement.
The collar is designed to close onto
a standard visor to shut out the forces of a blast.
The straps are made of durable webbing and are fixed with heavy-duty clips to make them fully adjustable.
The top of the Apron is designed to spread the weight evenly across the shoulders.
The lower straps prevent the Apron from falling forward and also ensure that the bottom portion stays wrapped around the thighs. The strap is made of an elastic material and so does not restrict movement of the legs.
The Apron is made with the bottom
adapted to incorporate a fold that protects the genital area.
The SD450 Demining Apron is supplied with a permanent wipe-clean cover.
The product is available in orange or royal blue and can be customised with
logos and utility pockets.
The SD450 Apron is one of the latest in a succession of successful apron designs. The Mk 1 and MK 2 were the first aprons to be used in Humanitarian Demining and are still being re-ordered by Demining organisations around the world.
